Newark Rowing Club

Newark is a friendly club that welcomes new members of all ages and abilities and anyone interested in taking up this fast growing and successful sport is encouraged to attend one of the club's 'taster' sessions before moving on to the Learn to Row course.

For the more experienced rower the club has a good racing record, successful at local regional and national level, it has qualified crews for Henley Royal Regatta during the past four seasons and competed at the National Championships.

Newark's National Champion - 17th July 2010

Heather Barnes won the gold medal in the women's under 14 single scull at the British Rowing Championships that took place at Strathclyde Park, Scotland on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July. 
Also competing in the Junior 14 quad were:

Robbie Goodwin
George Mitchel
Luke Wren
Adam Wright
They made it to the final and were place 6th out of 18 crews.

Felicity Bound - Club Captain was very pleased to accept an invitation to open the newly re-furbished Wilkinson's store in Newark on Thursday 1st July 2010.

Learn to Row

Nine new recruits have just completed their six week learn to row course - welcome to Newark Rowing Club.  Paddle to the Pub evening to be arranged soon for all Explore Rowers - more details to follow.
